The Benefits of Exercise & Resistance Training:-
Resistance training (also known as strength or weight training) has multiple benefits for your health.
Resistance training can increase your muscle mass. As we age, our muscle mass naturally deteriorates so to help reduce the rate at which this happens, start lifting weights!!
Exercising in general is connected with having better bone density and can help further reductions in bone density in those that are suffering with osteoporosis.
Exercising for approximately 3 hours per week can reduce the risk of diabetes. Cardio & weight training have a positive effect at reducing the risk but taking part in both reduces the risk further.
A few more: –
Improvements in mobility and balance. Im not promising the flexibility of a ballet dancer but it will definitely improve.
Improved posture.
Reduction of body fat so you get that ‘toned’ look.
Resistance training can boost your self-confidence, improve your body image and reduce the risk of depression.
Increased self-esteem.
Everyday tasks will be of ease. Think about that time you struggled with the jam lidÂ
What are you waiting for? Start lifting!
