Distractions, Distractions…

We’ve all done it, sat down at the cinema with a big box of popcorn whilst watching the trailers and as the film is just about to start, you reach in and they are all GONE 

Without even realising, you’ve demolished the WHOLE box in 15 minutes.

Eating while distracted, like watching TV, playing computer games & using your phones can have a BIG IMPACT on your eating experiences.

Here are just some examples: –

• You tend to eat faster when we are distracted
• Often or not you will not remember what you eat
• You will probably eat more snacks
• You will not feel as full

Avoiding distractions whilst eating will help you increase the responsiveness of your satiety (the feeling of fullness) signals which means that you will be inclined to eat less.
