Counting Calories; It Works!
The first place to start when looking or planning to lose weight/body fat is to reduce your calorie intake or increase your activity levels.
One of the best ways to realise what you are eating and how much you are eating is to track calories. In the modern times that we live in, its now easier than ever to do this.
Most people have a smart phone or access to the internet nowadays so i would start by using MyFitnessPal
To get things off to a good start i would begin with weighing and measuring all of your food for 1 week. Invest in some kitchen scales and measuring spoons.
All this does is gives you some realisation of how calorie dense certain foods are. Once you’ve gotten used to tracking your calorie intake then it gives you the tools to move onto just ‘eyeballing’ portion sizes and making educated guesses.
When you hit a plateau, you can always start tracking a little more poignantly again.
