Counting Calories; It Works! Part 2
You can’t lose weight/fat without being in a calorie deficit. This means that you need to consume fewer calories than what your body needs to maintain weight.
Now, this is where it gets a little more complicated.
When trying to lose weight, we want as much as that weight to come from fat and as little as possible from muscle.
This is where MyFitnessPal can really help.
Calories are the master regulator of body weight. So the main target for the day is hitting your daily calorie target on a regular basis.
As you get used to doing that, you can start to try and hit certain other targets.
The ones circled in red are the MOST important ones.
The one circled in green is important and once you get used to tracking on a regular basis, you can try to hit this target as well.
Now, please ignore the numbers that are circled, as these are currently my targets
These numbers can be found in the nutrition tab in MyFitnessPal where you’ll come across a pie chart. Then click on table sign which is the nutrient details.
The automatic ones that MyFitnessPal generate aren’t the best to go by, so please feel free to contact me for help.
Hope this helps guys.
